]]>Congratulations to AeroGT on securing the project to construct the whole-vehicle OTA testing system for Oakland University in the United States , with funding supported by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) .
AeroGT will provide a comprehensive turnkey delivery of this OTA testing system. As the first of its kind in the U.S. capable of 5G MIMO testing, it will offer comprehensive testing services for the smart connected vehicles of the American automotive industry. The system is designed to support a frequency range from 0.6 to 18GHz, enabling a variety of tests including passive, SISO, and MIMO for whole vehicles.
This project, located in Detroit, the center of America’s automotive industry, will supply the most advanced equipment and testing technology to the faculty and students of Oakland University. It will not only greatly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of testing for smart connected vehicles but also provide vital empirical data to support the establishment of testing standards, thereby promoting the healthy development and technological innovation of the smart connected vehicle industry .

Wi-Fi 7 OTA Test site
Wi-Fi 7 has quickly become popular due to its Extremely High Throughput (EHT) feature. It uses advanced technologies such as the 6GHz frequency band, 320MHz bandwidth, Multi Link Operation (MLO), and 4096 QAM modulation. Evaluating the RF performance of Wi-Fi 7 terminals is critical with these new features. The final product must meet standard specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure success. GTS’s RayZone? series OTA testing system, in collaboration with Rohde & Schwarz’s R&S?CMX500, effectively performs Wi-Fi 7 OTA testing.
GTS has introduced the RayZone? series, a multi-probe OTA testing system designed for frequencies between 400MHz and 12GHz. This
series can accommodate DUTs up to 2 meters in size and can conduct comprehensive passive, SISO, and MIMO tests for all wireless communication standards. The RayZone? series is powered by GTS’s proprietary software platforms, Libra and Phoenix, and supports a wide range of communication standards including 2G/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, NB-IoT, eMTC, Zigbee, LoRa, and UWB. Additionally, it offers flexible customization options to meet diverse testing needs, adapting to various scenarios, standards, and automation

The R&S?CMX500 provides comprehensive testing capabilities. It supports cellular technologies including LTE and the 5G FR1 frequency range up to 8 GHz, as well as the FR2 millimeter wave frequency range up to 50 GHz, suitable for the latest non-cellular technologies such as Wi-Fi 7 signaling tests. This device excels in frequency combination, enabling it to perform complex multi-carrier throughput tests, including the 3CC, 4×4 MIMO, and 256QAM/1024QAM required by 5G-A, all with just one unit. Qi Yihong is an academician of the U.S. National Academy of Inventors, an academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, an IEEE Fellow, a winner of the IEEE EMC Society Technical Achievement Award, a member of the founding team of BlackBerry mobile phone hardware, and the inventor of the modern smartphone antenna. An expert on antenna and radio frequency signal systems.
Academician Qi Yihong has long been engaged in basic research on radio signal transmission and noise mechanisms. His theoretical breakthrough research results are widely used in wireless low-noise transmitters, high-sensitivity receivers, high-performance connectors, antennas, wireless test systems and system integration. The TianTong -1 statellite mobile communication system is a statellite mobile communication syatem independently developed and constructes by China.It consists of a space segment,a ground segment and user terminals.TheTianTong-1 satellite mobile communication system is a high-orbit satellite,which puts forward higher requments for antennas,signal transmission losses and power transmission.
In order to ensure that user terminals achieve good communication services, OTA performance testing is crucial. As a result, Universal Test upgraded the Tiantong No. 1 terminal OTA automated testing solution based on the original star product RayZone? 2800.

RayZone? 2800 is an All-in-One OTA test system for 5G terminals (Sub-6GHz).It fully meets the Passive,SISO,and MIMO test requirements for 5G terminal development. It only takes 40 minutes to complete the MIMO OTA test.
In addition, RayZone? 2800 also supports various common communication standards, including 2G/3G/4G/5G SISO/MIMO, Wi-Fi, GNSS and IoT communication standard NB-IoT/eMTC testing.
The upgraded OTA automated test system is compatible with Tiantong No. 1 testing mainstream instruments Zhongke Jingshang

This test refers to the China Telecom enterprise standard “China Telecom Mobile Terminal Requirements White Paper-Volkswagen Intelligent Tiantong Dual Card Slot Handheld Terminal Volume (2023v1)”, which supports the output of the maximum EIPR and minimum EIS. The dynamic range meets the limit requirements of the Tiantong No. 1 test standard “China Telecom Mobile Terminal Requirements White Paper – Volkswagen Intelligent Tiantong Dual Card Slot Handheld Terminal Volume (2023v1)”. The uplink power test can reach more than 43dBm, and the downlink sensitivity test can reach – Below 143dBm.
In addition, the accuracy of the system can be effectively guaranteed. After verification by conduction and calibration antennas, the TRP fluctuation range is less than 0.5dB, and the TIS fluctuation range is less than 0.8dB. System stability <0.5dB, within one week.

This test project fills the gap in OTA automated testing of Tiantong No. 1 terminal and provides a strong guarantee for the OTA testing of Tiantong No. 1 terminal.

Compression Point Test
This delivery helps customers complete phased array antenna module measurements, adds OTA P1dB test functions, and dynamically integrates customer DUT control to achieve high-efficiency, high-stability, and high-precision millimeter-wave phased array measurements.
Keytest RN200 OTA test system is mainly used in the transceiver performance test of 5G wireless terminals and millimeter-wave radars, and is an all-in-one millimeter-wave test system solution with small size, large quiet area and multiple functions.

Semi-Active Test (26GHz Theta Polarization)
